Liberty Kitchen Menu Options
Any of the suggestions listed can be served as canapés, starters or mains; although as canapés they might be served without the side depending on the option (eg pasta or rice).
Whether the choice is a buffet or a sit down with table service there could be an option of up to three main dishes if a buffet; or one main dish if a sit down plus a selection of other dishes for those with special dietary requirements. The table service options can be served in the form of sharing platters. Hummus and flatbreads are a possible canapé option - these too could be provided by Liberty Kitchen; as could a ‘sweet’ option – the Hoxton Mess choux pastry balls described below.
Classic/current street food market offer
- Roman Road – a luscious Italian inspired smoked beef, grilled pepper and fresh basil ball served within a rustic roasted red pepper & tomato sauce and pappardelle pasta.
- Greek Street – a lamb kofta ball stuffed with feta cheese, kalamata olives and oregano served with tzatziki and gamopilafo, a traditional Cretan wedding rice slow cooked in fresh veg stock.
- Kew Garden –- a bewitching blend of courgette, ricotta, onion and fresh parsley bound together with long grain white rice, served on a butter bean, roasted fennel and butternut squash salad smothered in a piquant salsa verde. (Vegetarian and Gluten Free) Vegan version available with Tofu instead of cheese.
- Leigh High Road – a ‘Mac N Cheese’ ball where tubetti pasta is mixed within a scrumptious mature cheddar and mustard sauce and finished with panko.
Electric Avenue - a 'purely' Pentonville Caribbean street food range
- Cling Fish Carnival Cravings – a mouth watering Jamaican salt fish, honey and tamarind combo with a ‘bit of spice to make you feel nice’. Served with a tangy yoghurt avocado sauce along with yummy crisp plantain.
- Jumping Jerk Jive – a chicken ball, with a kick of scotch bonnet, presented with rice & peas cooked in coconut milk, sweet potato crisps, “wahgwan” sauce and home made sweet corn relish.
- Forever Valentine – a delicate purple sweet potato, plantain and black bean flavoured ball served with a coriander, chilli, mango and papaya salad and a lime and red onion sweet pickle. (Vegan + Gluten Free)
Meat Options
- Saffron Street – Persian flavours captured within a chicken shish style ball, accompanied with a grilled aubergine and tomato ‘stew’ (an Iranian version of a caponata sauce), and saffron rice, sprinkled with crushed toasted walnuts - which can be kept out as required.
- Patrick Road - an Irish white pudding ball served with finger thin chipolatas, crispy bacon, grilled button garlic mushrooms and home made soda bread
Fish Options
- Billingsgate ‘East’ - A succulent salmon ball coated in white sesame and black nigella seeds, served with rice noodles, miso broth, homemade ginger, pickle and asparagus blanched in Yakitori sauce. (Gluten Free)
- Bayswater Road – A ‘light’ yet delicious crab and prawn, garlic and ginger ball coated in panko bread crumbs, served with sticky rice and an original sweet chilli sauce.
- Colombo Street – A Sinhalese tuna and potato ‘cutlet’ ball served with vegetable biryani and a delicious mango ‘ketchup’ infused with Sri Lankan flavours.
Veg/Vegan Options
- Kew Garden - Vegan ball – a tantalising blend of tofu courgette with onion and fresh parsley bound together with long grain white rice, served on a butter bean, roasted fennel and butternut squash salad smothered in a piquant salsa verde.
- Upper Street – A vegan choice blend of sushi rice, wakame seaweed, coriander, grated mooli, spring onion, sesame oil and lime juice served on a chinese cabbage leaf and Soy Sauce to dip.
Pudding/Sweet Options
- Hoxton Mess - Profiteroles ‘stuffed’ with a Liberty Kitchen “creme de la creme” recipe: whipped cream folded with vanilla crème and praline nuggets or triple chocolate chips.And/ Or Profiteroles filled with dark chocolate and red chilli mousse. Both served drizzled with thin streaks of crunchy dry caramel.
